Microsoft on Google

Microsoft

How Google took over, I have no idea? I mean I am sure there are about a million reasons why and I am also sure they all make sense. But it just is amazing that a company so new could become the leading search engine in such a short time and literally take over. They have around 50% of the search engine market to my knowledge and it is no wonder that Microsoft’s management is really getting on their case to compete. Microsoft just has never been that reliable, as the biggest company in the world and the most powerful, why can’t they get these things right. I guess its almost good that a company that is this big is so faulty because if they were perfect they might actually take over the world, and I don’t think that would be a very fun thing to have to go through. Imagine if Bill Gates owned the world, kind of a scary thought. I know there was some talk about him having the ability to take over the country and the Government was putting a lot of pressure on him to make sure he did not get too powerful Once you have a billion dollars, it seems that one more billion isn’t that much more, but think about it, it’s a billion dollars more, that a huge amount. And Bill Gates has billions of dollars, why does he need all of that money? Well I guess he was smart enough to get it, so in the end I would say more power to you good sir, King of all the Dorks.

Online Video

Streaming video for the gym seems like a good idea. It seems that we are in a world where renting and buying video is no longer good enough. Blockbuster is an example of a company that was affected by the internet because other companies like netflix allow you to order movies through the internet or phone and have them sent to your house. People are looking for the fastest and most updated ways of receiving information. If I were looking for a fitness workout, I would want something that changes up by the week or something that is different daily so I don’t get bored. The nice thing about this technology, if it got off the ground is that you could constantly have updated videos for your fitness. Not that I workout that often or would use this if I did, but just knowing people that do, it could be a big advantage. Web based exercises can be incorporated into your television and allow someone to sit at home and maybe work out in their weight room while seeing an up to date video. I think that this technology, with people becoming more internet savvy, is going to be a very popular practice among those who enjoy exercise. It seems that everyone is trying to find the fastest, cheapest, and easiest way to do things, and exercise is included in this. This is going to lead to more advertising and in tern more people are going to want to exercise in this way.
